                                                              OUR MISSION

The purpose of the Arkansas Meat Goat Association shall be to promote meat goats as a viable source of longterm ,stable income in the agricultural operations: to educate people in the production, marketing,as well the importance of a meat goat operation in today's economy.
 
          
 
    **The Goals of the Arkansas Meat Goat Association are to:

1. Educate the general public about the wholesome quality of goat meat and educate our members on the newest techniques in both marketing and herd management.

2. Promote sponsorship in ARMGA, ABGA and IBGA sanctioned shows to draw interest from the general public and exhibit top quality goats to our membership.

3. Develop markets for our product which will bring the highest price possible for the members while keeping the expenses associated with marketing at a minimum.

4.  Encourage and help facilitate direct marketing strategies by the producer.

5. Promote goat meat as an acceptable meat product from both a cruisine and health aspect to the general public.

6. Promote and support meat goats in 4-H and FFA livestock shows locally and statewide.

7. Provide educational information on the principles of health management, and general knowledge needed to be successful raising meat goats.

8. Exchange experiences as well as knowledge asquired concerning all aspects of health managment and marketing strategies. Testing..
